PTV Historical Series:

Introduction:

Drama reflects the society that words penned by the author complete his writing with the ink of feeling. If you look at the past, the eternal characters will start rolling in your eyes. That is why street dramas are popular among today's youth.

Let's add some invaluable dramas from the past to the conversation. Highlight the message conveyed in these plays.

Ainak Wala Jin:


    PTV's unforgettable endeavor that adults, seniors, and children loved. It aired from 1993-1996. It had a total of 151 episodes. Its director Hafeez Tahir combined real life, science fiction, and fantasy to create a spectacle.  His TV series included Dachi, Alif Laila, Amber Nag, Maria, and Ainak Wala Jin. Hafeez Tahir successfully created many special effects using simple chroma techniques. The people appreciated his effort.

    The story is set in motion when one Jin was sent from the mountains of Qafqar by the Emperor of the Jinn among the people saying that his eye-sight is not looking good and he can no longer live among us. The story revolved around magic toasts, fairies, space creatures, witches, and real-life characters. In addition, magic, spells, the path of truth, morality, humor, and trouble showed on the screen with great skill.

These artists Hamoon Jadogar, Zakoota Jin, Bill Batori visited the areas affected by the 2005 Kashmir Earthquake. With the President of Pakistan to bring back the smiles on the faces of the depressed children.

Even today, PTV should continue such efforts to make such dramas. The writer has written tremendous dialogues on technologies related to spaceship and science.

Angar Wadi:

    PTV has also written several dramas on Kashmir issues. One of them was the famous drama serial ''Angar Wadi''. When the words that came out of the mind of Abdul Rauf Khalid began to appear rapidly on the white paper, the unforgettable charcoal became dramatically imprinted in the minds of the people.

    A Muslim Kashmiri was portrayed as a captain in the Indian army while his brother was a Muslim Professor. He broke his pen and took up weapons because the persecution forced him to do so. He became a soldier of the freedom movement.

    The location of this play, the love-filled dialogue, suspense, action, adventure was all unparalleled. The performance of the artists captivated the audience's heart.  Its duration was 3 minutes.

Janjalpura:

    Janjalpura has written on a variety of topics on one platform. It was difficult to stop the lips from laughing after seeing it. People still remember every single character of this play. This drama had derived from Semi Ghazal's novel. In it, Sawaira Nadeem highlighted the issue of family planning in a very polite manner.

    Transgender issues are well described. Mahmood Aslam and Niyar Ijaz performed impressively. Pakistani writers have a God-Given ability to steal a story from the eye. This drama is a living symbol of that.

Angan Tehra:

    PTV also showed the essence of its high performance in satirical dramas. One of them is the invaluable writing of Anwar Maqsood. The sensitive issue discussed was Pakistan's electoral system and martial law. The participation of guest actors, including Alamgir, Lehri, Moin Akhtar, Mahmood Ali, Qazi Wajid, Sultana Zafar, Azra Sherwani, Latif Kapadia, and Asif Raza Mir.

Khuda Ki Basti:

    PTV's masterpiece '' Khuda Ki Basti'' 1969 was made keeping in view the novel of Shaukat Siddiqui. This novel had published in 1958 with 524 pages.

    It is highlighted the situation after the formation of Pakistan. This aspect of society shows how meanness hollowed out Pakistan's social life and economy like a termite. 

Rahein:  

    Mansha Yaad's creative Punjabi novel Tawan Tawan Tara was translated into Urdu by Ptv and aired through a drama serial. The play became so popular that it was awarded the PTV National Award in 1998.

Fishar:

    The urban portrayed as comfortable and satisfied. The rural life was simple. In this drama serial, the author raises the issue of unemployment through the pen. It seeks to explain how the young generation, led by unemployment, deteriorates and goes astray. The straight path is not easy. Very few people can walk on this path. An attempt had made to explain the need for education through excellent dialogue. It was Noman Ijaz's first play.

Sunehrey Din:

    Pakistan Television Network has maintained its traditions even in the present era. The relationship between the people and the Pakistan Army is tenacious. This channel aired invaluable dramas on Pakistan Army. PTV focused on the life of a Pakistani Army Officer in 1990 with excellence on the daily life of military officers in the Pakistan Military Academy.

Alpha, Bravo Charlie:

    Another play Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie is an unforgettable drama produced by ISPR. Shoaib Mansoor and Rumi Khan acted as directors. The story begins with the Pakistan Military Academy when Faraz, Kashif, and Gulsher pass out and join the army as officers. It aired on the PTV from May to July 1998. It was a sequel to Sunehrey Din.

It reflects the operational involvement of the Pakistan Army in the Siachen conflict. Bosnia had briefed on the war and the situation there.

Des Pardes: 

    Haseena Moin has written ''Des Pardes''(1999) directed by Ali Rizvi and producer Zulfiqar Sheikh. This drama serial consists of 13 episodes. It seeks to highlight the plight of Pakistanis in Scotland and their relatives in Pakistan.

Andhera Ujala:

    Younis Butt's play Andhera Ujala was full of adventure. Rasheed Dar performed his duties of directing marvellously. Faisal Qureshi appeared on a screen as a child star. Irfan Khost, Jamil Fakhri, and Qawi Khan appeared as senior police officers.

Guest House:

    This play was trendy in its time and broke all records. The issues of passengers had been put forward through humor. All the characters became very popular among people. This dialogue My name is Jhon Rambo Cockroach killer became popular. PTV Islamabad Center received good accolades.

    Its director was Rauf Khalid, while the shooting took place in 1990 at a rest house in a covered area of Islamabad. It had run by Mr. Shamim, his wife, Naveed, and Murad.  

    PTV maintain its traditions. Their dramas aired are also terminological and instructive. Its writer has proved their mettle in the world. Keep a close eye on social stories. That is why viewers still watch national TV with interest.
