Marigold-Hurrah!! Mosquito Repellent.
We are going to discuss the fragrant
herb ‘’Marigold’’. The problem of anemia is serious and cured by the use of
food and herbs. In this way, the human body is protected from side effects.
Physicians use this herb in their medicine and make powders and use them as a
treatment for various problems. Its flower is yellow to orange and red and
blooms from mid-October while some varieties bloom from early summer to late
autumn in severe cold. It prefers to grow in dry and clay soil.
You can easily apply it by adding organic matter to the soil. Its flower is used as decoration. In addition, the horticulture exhibition highlights the importance of these flowers by giving them different designs. This herbal flower is also being used in medicine for the treatment of various ailments. It is used for stomach upset, eye infection, inflammation, and wound healing while the leaves and petals are eaten. Physicians use these herbs for making powder and use them as a treatment for various problems. Its flower extract is used in veterinary feeds. The literature also shows that due to a lack of information about the safety, stability, and compatibility of foods, its potential use as natural food clearance of marigold hasn’t been fully exploited.
Chemicals in Marigold:
Marigold is a rich source of lutein. These
include carotenoids, which are important because of their antioxidant
properties and protection of eye health. A study of the literature It is used
to separate the lutein content in this plant which is used in the preparation
of food supplements. Its extract proved to be more stable than extract in
powder form against oxidation in encapsulated form.
Research revealed that gold extract (fresh or dried) was extracted from research, and then it was found to contain a high level of useful lutein compounds which increase the value of poultry feed clarinet. Research is very important in every field of life. Therefore, science research is the backbone.
In this regard, in the treatment of
leg ulcers, the result of the physical examination of the ointment with
marigold liqueur was carefully considered. It is used to separate the lutein

science research is the backbone. In this regard, in the treatment of leg
ulcers, the result of the physical examination of the ointment with marigold
liqueur was carefully considered. In this research, a few patients were
selected, and the aim was to determine the efficacy of treatment with my gold
many liqueurs on the epithelium of venous ulcers of the lower legs. Patients
were divided into 2 groups. The legs of these few people were affected by
ulcers.
Experimental Group:
The first group was the experimental
group. The patients in this group were treated with an ointment containing
marigold liqueur, which was prepared in an apparatus formulated by Soxhlet.
Twenty-one of the 33 patients with ulcers were treated. The therapy was applied
twice a day for three weeks.
Control Group:
The second group was a control group which
included 13 patients with venous ulcers. In the control group, saline solution
dressings were applied to patients for 3 weeks.
Result:
In the experimental group, the ulcer was at
high level at the beginning of therapy but after the third week, this level was
seen to be low. The proportion of results was observed with a decrease of
41%-71% while complete epithelialization was achieved in seven patients. There
was a statistically significant acceleration in wound healing in the
experimental group. The results obtained are preliminary, but they do have
positive effects of ointment with my marigold liquor on vein ulcer epithelium.
Marigold infused oil:
It is known as an antibacterial. This
plant is used in making repellent cream and also acts as an antifungal and
astringent. It needed two essential oil, marigold oil and del oil, which were
tested by applying this mosquito repellent on the skin. For this purpose,
color, fragrance, brightness, and pH were checked. It is mostly made of
synthetic chemical repellents.
It is considered a good source of infused oil. Fill a jar with castor oil and soak the collected marigold flowers in it and mosquitoes were collected in another jar then keep it covered for 3 weeks. After 3 weeks, filler marigold oil and pour it in another jar. It was tested for repellent activity.
Researchers found significant activity
in marigold oil that was compared. It was decided to develop a variety of
mosquito repellent creams for mosquito repellent activity. The marigold oil and
dill oil in the water were emulsified with emulsifier wax to prepare an aqueous
cream. The mosquitoes were transferred to the jar with the help of a respirator
tube and tested on the arms of volunteers. Every thirty minutes the volunteer
hands were placed in the jar for 3 minutes and noticed the number of mosquito
bites. This test was repeated three times.
Marigold oil + Castrol oil = Repellent oil.
Bites on control = Result mention.
Bites on treated = Result mention.
A study of the literature revealed that marigold flower extract was used to repel mosquitoes and prevent bites. This procedure is briefly described. Mosquitoes have a very foul-smelling chemoreceptor on the sensitive antennae. It has a special fragrance. This can increase or decrease the attractiveness of the host. The mosquito attraction towards their host was observed during this time. The formula containing a mixture of marigold was extracted against Ades Mosquitoes to check the mosquito repellent activity of marigold oil.
What Research says about Marigold?
Another research was done on the
synthesis of cadmium nanoparticles using the extract of marigold and rose
petals. The nanomaterial was characterized using UV, FTIR, SEM and
fluorescent spectrophotometers.
Finally, cadmium particles were also examined for mosquito larvae activity than rose petal nectar. This is the first report on mosquito larval activity of cadmium nanoparticles mediated in flower petals. Thus, marigold petal extract is used for the synthesis of cadmium nanoparticles. It is a fast eco-friendly and ancient method. The information of CDNPS could potentially be a mosquito larva-killing agent.
Marigold oil has terpene and ocimenone
chemicals that lose their activity within 24 hours after exposure to water.
Successfully developed and tested cream for poly herbal topical administration topical. Herbal
creams are formulated for a variety of purposes such as mosquito repellent
creams, cleansing creams, and cold creams.
